The Master of Divinity degree is the benchmark ministerial degree in graduate theological education. This program of study is designed to prepare students for various forms of ministry in church and
society. In recognition of the great diversity of students undergraduate preparation and vocational goals, the M.Div. curriculum is flexible, allowing freedom in areas of concentration, and focusing on the integration of learning across all aspects of study. Concentrations of
elective courses in Black Church Studies, Pastoral Theology and Pastoral Counseling, and pre-Ph.D. studies, as well as a Womens Studies
Certificate, are also available within the structure of the general M.Div. program.
