Welcome back! I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to the New Year. As we begin this Spring Semester we need to fill two more Brite Green Leadership positions, Community Events Chair and Secretary. (Brite Green is the environmental/eco-justice student organization at Brite Divinity.) We are meeting this Friday (1-15-10) at 3pm in Weatherly Hall to elect people to these positions. So, if you know of someone who you feel would fill one of these positions well or if you think you would like to step into such a leadership role please consider a nomination. At the meeting you will have the chance to present yourself or another as a nominee for a leadership position. Once all the nominees are recognized we will take a vote to elect our new Community Events Chair and our new Secretary. I have listed a detailed description of each of these positions at the bottom of this e-mail. All are welcome and encouraged to come to the meeting. I hope to see you all Friday. Community Events Chair: Will facilitate and carry out (hopefully with help from other BG members) the various community/social events planned by members of Brite Green; may, with input from other officers, offer events for Brite Green and the larger Brite community.
Secretary: Will take notes at meetings; will maintain and distribute to other officers a current e-mail contact list of Brite Green members; will keep track of monies if the group does something that would require payment or dues.
