Community convesation on New Curriculum and a focus in implementation

January 22, 2010

I want to invite you to attend a community conversation Tuesday, January 26th at noon in Weatherly Hall to hear more about a recent action of the faculty that will further focus our energies as we implement our new MDiv curriculum.
We will be discussing what is called a Quality Enhancement Plan or QEP that is a primary aspect of our forthcoming accreditation visit in March of 2011. A QEP focuses on student learning and represents a significant institutional commitment. You each had an opportunity to participate in the selection process for the topic of our QEP as did alumnae/i and denominational partners with Brite. In every case the overwhelming choice was the one we chose—Integration of Learning across the Curriculum.
Our discussion Tuesday will be an initial discussion of ways this commitment will be evident in your classroom experience at Brite.
If you are not able to attend, there will be other opportunities to discuss this, and I will also create a link on the website for those who wish to follow this.

Hope to see you at the Community Conversation.
