Join the Brite community on for a special virtual coffee hour “What I Wish I Knew: Reflections on Transitioning to a Doctoral Program”

What is required to transition well into a doctoral program? How does one know if they are asking the right questions or positioning themselves as a strong candidate? Academic transitions on any level can be difficult and mysterious; for those interested in transitioning into a doctoral program, the prospect can feel overwhelming. The Black Church Studies program in partnership with the Office of Community and Spiritual Life at Brite are inviting Brite students to come and learn from people who get it! During Coffee Hour on March 25th, 2021 (11a-12p CST), panelists familiar with the doctoral process will share their experiences in “What I Wish I Knew: Reflections on Transitioning to a Doctoral Program.”

With experience in the areas of Christian Theology, Pastoral Care, and Biblical studies, students will hear reflections on “What I wish I knew” and “What I know now” from Dr. Natalya Cherry, Dr. David Cho, Dr. Gary Green, and Rev. Kamilah Hall Sharp. Q&A will follow!
