Join us on Monday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Leibrock Village Patterson Community Room (2901 Sandage Ave.) for a conversation with Dr. Natalya Cherry – Assistant Professor in Methodist Studies and Theology.

Dr. Cherry is in the early stages of developing a future course on this topic and is eager to have conversation with students. An especially timely topic in Fort Worth in the wake of Atatiana Jefferson’s murder, Dr. Cherry’s current reflections draw on her experiences and studies over the last several years, exploring sources on the history & theories of policing and following actions of churches and individuals in response to and support of movements like Black Lives Matter, as well as her ongoing involvement in community action and in city police department community programs.
