Fuzzy’s Fundraiser for the YWCA center that is need of repairs
February 28, 2010The YWCA of Fort Worth-Polytechnic Child Development Center is in need of major repairs and restoration. The facility is an old, historic building and former fire station that was transformed into a child care center in 1984.
Due to a lack of funds, time and volunteers, the YWCA is unable to afford/complete these repairs without community assistance. The goal of our AmeriCorps Service Project is to support the YWCA and their efforts to improve the Polytechnic Center by: fundraising, coordinating sponsors and partnerships, and recruiting volunteers to complete the necessary renovations.
** Fuzzy’s Taco Shop on Berry has agreed to host a dinner fundraiser for our project! This Wednesday March 3rd, 10% of their proceeds earned between 6-9pm will be donated to help cover the cost of repairing and repainting the Polytechnic Center.
We would love to have you all join us for dinner while supporting a good cause at the same time! All you have to do to help out is come to Fuzzy’s on Wednesday night, eat and/or buy a few drinks, and put your receipt in our jar. Please invite all of your friends and family in the Fort Worth area! 🙂
