Folks: I want to thank you all very much for the honor of the Louise Clark Brittan Endowed Faculty Excellence Award at our Brite Honors banquet.

To teach students who are engaged, inquisitive, and willing to join together in grappling with important issues is indeed a privilege and one from which I personally draw both stimulation and sustenance. It is also a privilege to teach with faculty colleagues who are committed to and skilled in the same task.

Thank you for your commitment to this strange and invaluable adventure of learning together.
